WordPress Integration

Outpacer integrates with WordPress via the REST API, making it easy to auto-publish articles directly to your WordPress site.

Setup Steps

Navigate to your website's settings in Outpacer.
Select WordPress as your CMS type.
Enter your WordPress site URL (e.g., https://yourblog.com).
Create an Application Password in WordPress: Go to Users > Profile > Application Passwords, enter a name like "Outpacer", and click Add New. Copy the generated password.
Enter your WordPress username and the application password in Outpacer.

How Publishing Works

When an article is approved in Outpacer, it is sent to your WordPress site as a draft or published post (depending on your settings). The article includes the title, content (HTML), meta description, featured image, and categories/tags.

Troubleshooting

401 Unauthorized: Double-check your username and application password. Ensure the REST API is not blocked by a security plugin.
404 Not Found: Verify the site URL is correct and includes https://.
Images not uploading: Ensure your WordPress media library allows uploads from the REST API.

Advanced Options

You can map Outpacer categories to WordPress categories, set default post status (draft vs. published), and configure custom fields for SEO plugins like Yoast or RankMath.
